Our story

Our Nation

In the decades since 1971, this country has rebuilt itself street by street. Dhaka spread north, and Uttara grew from surveyed fields into neighbourhoods with schools, markets, mosques and traffic. We have built in one corner of that story, one building at a time.

We are not trying to build monuments. We build homes where a family raises children, keeps parents close, and puts down roots that outlast us. A country is shaped less by its landmarks than by the quality of the ordinary places its people live in.

Our commitment

  • Homes designed for how Bangladeshi families actually live: room for parents and children under one roof, a kitchen that vents properly, and a balcony that still works in monsoon.
  • Your language, not ours. Every conversation, document and explanation in Bangla or English, whichever you are most comfortable being honest in.
  • We build with the long term in mind. How a building is looked after over the years depends on its residents as much as its builder, and we would rather plan for that than ignore it.

What makes us different

  • One area, known properly. We work in one part of the city rather than across all of it, because knowing a place well tends to serve a buyer better than a scattered map of half-known addresses.
  • A family company that answers in person. The two people who set the direction are the same two who answer for it when something needs putting right.
  • Nothing held back until you ask. Storey count, flat size, block, road and project status are published before anyone picks up the phone.

Older ground

Six centuries of building in this delta.

We are a very small part of a very long line. Long before anyone poured concrete here, this land was being built on by people who expected their work to last. These four still set the standard.

The Sixty Dome Mosque at Bagerhat, its brick domes and corner towers

15th century

Sixty Dome Mosque, Bagerhat

Brickwork that has outlasted the empires that followed it, in a mosque city that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built for the climate it stands in, which is why it is still standing.

Lalbagh Fort in Dhaka, with the Tomb of Pari Bibi behind the water channel

17th century

Lalbagh Fort, Dhaka

A Mughal fort complex begun in 1678 in what is now Old Dhaka. Courtyards, water channels and shade, arranged by people who understood how to live through a Bengali summer.

Ahsan Manzil, the pink palace on the bank of the Buriganga in Dhaka

19th century

Ahsan Manzil, Dhaka

The pink palace on the bank of the Buriganga, completed in the 1870s and now a museum. It was built to be arrived at from the river, and that is still the best way to see it.

Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban reflected in its lake, Dhaka

20th century

Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, Dhaka

The National Parliament House, designed by Louis Kahn and completed in 1982. Proof that a building in this country can be spoken about anywhere in the world.

Builder standard

Details that make everyday living easier.

Light and airflow

Apartment plans should support daylight, ventilation, balcony use, and privacy.

Parking and arrival

Good residential buildings make entry, parking, and security simple for families.

Location planning

Neighbourhood, road access, schools, transit, and daily errands shape long-term value.

Clear documents

Project information should be easy to request, review, and discuss with the team.

Working close to home

Why we work where we work.

We build only in Uttara, and only in RAJUK approved areas. That is a deliberate choice, and it changes what we can tell you.

01

We know the roads

Approach width, how a street behaves in monsoon, where the traffic actually backs up. These are things you learn by being somewhere often, not by reading a map.

02

We know the local process

Approvals, utility connections and the people who handle them differ from area to area. Familiarity here tends to save time that would otherwise be spent finding out.

03

We know what nearby buildings achieve

What comparable buildings sold for, how they have aged, and what residents say about them a few years on. Useful context when you are weighing one address against another.

04

We are near enough to come back

Being close to our completed buildings makes it easier to stay involved after handover, and easier for you to go and look at finished work before you commit to anything.

For landowners

A clear first conversation for development partnerships.

Archtech can discuss site potential, project positioning, possible unit mix, and next steps for Dhaka residential plots.
